How to Share a Stack
Make a Stack public, share it with others and turn a group of saved links into something worth browsing.
Sometimes a Stack becomes too good to keep to yourself.
Maybe you’ve gathered the best examples you can find of handmade paper flowers.
Maybe you’re collecting ideas for a friend’s kitchen renovation.
Maybe your Stack has become a miniature guide to independent ceramicists you love.
When a Stack is ready to share, you can make it public and send people to it.
First, make the Stack public
Open the Stack you want to share and change its visibility from private to public.
Before you do, give it a quick look.
Ask yourself:
- Does the title explain what this Stack is about?
- Do the Tacks actually belong together?
- Are there any private or unfinished ideas you’d rather keep to yourself?
- Would someone landing here understand why you collected these things?
It doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just needs to feel intentional.
Then share it
Once the Stack is public, use its share option to send the Stack wherever you’d like.
You might share it:
- in a text
- in an email
- in a group conversation
- on your website
- in a social post
- with a client
- with someone working on a project with you
Instead of sending ten separate links, you can send one Stack.
Public doesn’t have to mean permanent
You’re still in control of your Stack.
If you no longer want to share it publicly, you can change its visibility again.
Make the title do some work
Compare:
Kitchen
with:
Colorful Kitchens That Still Feel Grown-Up
The second one immediately tells someone why the collection might be worth opening.
Good Stack names are little invitations.
Share your point of view, not just a pile of links
A Stack becomes much more interesting when it has a point of view.
You’re not trying to collect every example on the internet.
You’re choosing the ones you think are worth seeing.
And that makes the collection yours.
