Your account and privacy
Delete your Tackologie account
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by email. You do not need to reinstall the app, sign in, or have an active membership to make a request.
Email an account deletion requestIf the button does not open your email app, email support@tackologie.com with the subject “Tackologie account deletion request.”
How to request deletion
- Send the request from the email address used for your Tackologie account, if you can. Say that you want your account and associated data deleted.
- If you no longer have access to that email, tell us in your request. We will arrange another way to verify ownership before deleting anything. Never send your password, verification codes, or payment-card details.
- We will confirm the scope with you and notify you when your request has been completed, including any information that must be retained and why. Sending the email does not instantly delete your account.
Deletion is different from archiving or signing out. It removes your collection and cannot be undone through the app.
Stop membership renewal too
Deleting Tackologie or requesting account deletion does not itself cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Cancel renewal with the provider where you subscribed:
- Apple: manage subscriptions
- Google Play: manage subscriptions
- Website membership: open Account → Manage membership, or ask us for help in your deletion request.
You can request help even if you cannot sign in. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal; a refund is a separate request handled through the relevant payment provider. Confirm cancellation with that provider so you do not continue paying after account removal.
What is deleted
Your account profile and sign-in records, saved-Tack relationships, Stacks, sections, placements and archive state, private Tacks and their unshared stored images, and your personal contributions are included in the deletion request. Associated optional analytics and other personal data held by our service providers are also included, subject to the retention exceptions below.
What may remain, and retention
Independently sourced public Tacks can remain in the catalog and other people’s collections. Your personal attribution and contributions are removed; independently established publisher or creator attribution may remain. Another person’s independently saved public content is not deleted with your account.
Limited transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, security, dispute and deletion-request records may be retained where needed for those purposes or required by law. Apple, Google and Stripe may separately retain payment records under their own policies. We do not promise that deleting a Tackologie account deletes a payment provider’s records.
Routine daily database and file-storage backups currently have a seven-day retention period. Manual recovery backups can remain longer and need separate handling. There is not yet one fixed retention period covering manual backups and all required transaction or security records. We will explain any additional retention that applies to your request, its reason, and the applicable period or criteria. Backup and provider cleanup must be accounted for before a request is described as fully completed.
For more about how we use data, read the Privacy Policy. You can also contact support to request deletion of specific data without closing your account.
